At the end of last year I set up two friends, in their 30s, and they just got married at the beginning of the summer. I knew them both from different places, the guy from high school and the girl more recently and it just came to me. The girl was from LA but living in NY at the time and the guy was from LA, lived in NY and then moved back to LA, so their paths kept crossing and they never met. When they finally went out they hit it off and realized they had a lot of mutual friends. At the vort, tons of people said “why didn’t I think of this sooner.” Everyone thanked me but I said it was all Hashem.
The chosson’s mother passed away when we were in high school and the kallah’s brother passed away many years ago as well, their presence was felt very strongly at the wedding and throughout the whole process.

Keep pushing, checking in, and let Hashem do the rest.

I was of course very moved when I heard about the 10K project, I myself am an “older single” (30s) and in the dating world for many years, and always appreciate when people send me suggestions and try to set me up. It reminds me that I am not forgotten, that someone is still thinking of me to set me up. It really means so much. So too, I always trying to set up my friends and family. So this project really inspired me to keep trying, because you never know when something will work out.

I hope that the family continues to be comforted by this project and Yisroel and Elisheva’s neshama should have an aliyah with each suggestion, match and iyh shidduch that is made.
