“I myself am actually a girl “in the parsha”, which would probably have made me even more hesitant to suggest something than the typical person, but the ads were everywhere and I realized that I only had what to gain. This was not the first suggestion I tried because of the 10kBY initiative, and quite a few of the shidduchim I pushed did date a number of times but nothing came of any of them. I actually brought up the idea at my shabbos table and things went wild from there… It actually was not smooth sailing for much of the ordeal and there was plenty of stress for everyone involved. So many times over the past few weeks I was so tempted to just give up and never redt another shidduch, but Baruch Hashem it worked out and I am so grateful for the zchus… 10kBY is for sure a huge part of that!!
